Become The Star Of The Show At Your First Business Event

Business events are great ways to market your business to the public. Especially exhibitions/trade shows, which give you a chance to target your audience directly. But, what should you do if you’ve never been to a business event before? Here are some tips that will make you the star of the show:

Have A Good Content Strategy

When you’re trying to drive traffic to your website, you rely on great content. The same can be said when you’re looking to drive crowds of people to your stall at a business event. The content may be different, but it’s the same idea. You need to come up with a strategy that keeps people hanging on your every word and engages your audience. Don’t bore everyone with long winded and technical explanations about business stuff. Instead, try and keep things fun and exciting, make them stay for more. A good example is to showcase a couple of product demonstrations. Another idea is to convince people why they need your product/service. Get your strategy right, and you will see a lot of success.

Broadcast Your Brand

With so many other businesses all at the same event, you need to do your best to get your brand to stand out. The best way to do this is to promote and broadcast your brand as much as possible. What I mean by this is you make sure people see your brand logo and brand colors more than anyone else’s. So, think about wearing branded clothing with your logo on so everyone that sees you will see your brand. There are places like Dynamic Gift where you can buy promo marquees to erect at events and customize with your brand colors and logo on. Again, this helps get your business seen by as many people as possible. Consider creating posters that you can stick on as many walls as possible in and around the event location. Stickers are another idea, hand them out to people or stick them on your marquee/stall for added branding. The end result is that you’ve made sure no one leaves the event with noticing your business.

Don’t Stay In One Place

So many people make one simple mistake when they attend their first business event; they stay in one place. You’ll be allocated a spot to set up your stall and get everything sorted, but that doesn’t mean your business has to stay there. Your stall can’t move, but you and your employees can. Take to the floor and have a wander around the exhibition (in your colorful branding clothing of course) speaking to consumers. Depending on the size of the event, some people could never get near your stall as they’re on the other side of the room. So, by moving around, you can find people that wouldn’t have seen your business if you’d stayed in the same place. Then, you can hand out some freebies or lure them back to your stall to tell them more about your business.

Follow these tips, and your business will leave its mark on your first major event!
