Today I am presenting a 2nd interview on the blog with Pranaya Ghimire of StartUpLift
Check out the interview:
1. What gave you the idea to start StartUpLift? Share your story.
I previously founded CareerSquared that catered to the unique needs of job-seekers and provided an innovative platform for job-seekers and career-experts to work together. After realizing the need for a service that easily allowed Startups get exposure and solicit much needed direct feedback, I created StartUpLift.
2. How have you gone about getting the attention of all these start up companies? What’s working for you?
It has just been hard work and relentless hustle of contacting startups one by one. One thing that has really worked is the word of mouth / referrals from current customers.
3. How did you go about finding a team of people to help review and analyze each start up business?
Now that we have established our presence for quite a while, we get inquiries every day. Anyone can sign up. We then filter out candidates based on their analysis skills, writing and attention to detail.
4. What are some of the most interesting start up companies you have come across in 2014?
There are plenty of new startups that are creating innovative solutions to our problems in 2014. Here are some worth noting: Samba, Topi, Plated, ThinkUp, Harry’s, YPlan, Humin, Dash, Oscar. I don’t want to bore your readers with all the details. You can just google the name and get information.
5. What are your future plans for 2014 and beyond?
We are very excited to announce the launch of Beta Users Acquisition Portal. Most of the businesses that come to us are fairly new. Their app or website does not have many users and they are not able the get the feedback that they need on a timely basis to help them grow. With the launch of our service (BetaUsersNow) – they can acquire desired number of beta users (with targeted profile info and demographics). We have complete profile and demographic information on over 60,000+ users who are eager to participate.
