Today I am presenting another written interview with Yoav Farbey of The Startup Magazine.

  1. What got you interested in starting “The Startup Magazine”? Share your story.

After starting my first business at university. I wanted to document my experiences and lessons, as a guide and discussion board for students and entrepreneurs.

This started off as a short four part series, covering from starting to closing, and finally transforming a business in to something new. After my startup series, I started to interview other entrepreneurs and find out about their own experiences.

The personal story eventually evolved to The Startup Magazine.

The Startup Magazine is an online business magazine with an editorial focus on developing resource for startups and entrepreneurs. Whether you are an entrepreneur with a killer idea that you want to bring to life, someone who is interested in finding out more on starting a business, or a startup owner wanting find the latest news and best business practices, The Startup Magazine is for you.

  1. What are some key things you learned about interviewing other entrepreneurs in the online space?

Many things, from the best practices in raising investments, to mistakes to avoid when you first start out. you can find over 100 entrepreneur & startup interviews in the interview section of our site.

  1. How have you gone about promoting your magazine and blog?

Going out networking in events around the tech community, connecting with the right people over social media, being introduced and making introductions to people in and around my network.

  1. In what ways do you monetize your magazine website?

Traditional banner advertising, aswell as content partnerships and native advertising. All can be found on our advertising page.

  1. What are your future plans for 2014 and beyond?
  • Grow our content partners and provide more quality insight in to the world of startups and entrepreneurship to our readers.
  • Implement the our new re-design after moving to a new domain name.
  • Grow our audience and enguagement
